His meals are certainly a highlight of our day, but how many of us actually know the man behind the creative cuisine at Palm Lake Resort Fern Bay? Meet our resort chef, Wayne Stewart. Wayne’s background as a chef is anything but ordinary. He gained his qualifications during seven years in the Air Force, which he joined when he was 18.

“My father was in the Air Force as well,” Wayne says. He saw a newspaper article advertising a lot of different positions and trades and one of them was a chef.
